Bob Hiltz
Bob Hiltz is a Financial Advisor, holding FINRA Series 7 and 63 registrations through LPL. As a former CPA, with decades of experience in both public accounting and financial planning, Bob brings a seasoned and thoughtful approach to helping clients manage and preserve their wealth.
Bob earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Fresno State College in 1966. He spent over 20 years as a practicing CPA, serving as the Managing Partner at Bartlett, Pringle & Wolf CPAs in Santa Barbara until 1994. After stepping back from public accounting, he launched a successful financial planning practice, which he later merged with Lewis Financial upon relocating to San Luis Obispo in 2003.
Committed to service beyond his professional work, Bob has served on numerous boards, including:
- American Cancer Society
- Girl’s and Boy’s Club
- Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce
- Parkinson’s Association
- La Cumbre Country Club (Santa Barbara)
- San Luis Obispo Country Club
He also served as President of the California Society of CPAs, Central Coast Chapter, demonstrating his leadership within the professional accounting community.
Bob and his wife Wendy live in San Luis Obispo. They have five children and five grandchildren. When he's not advising clients, Bob enjoys playing golf and cheering on his grandchildren at their baseball and soccer games.
